A special end of midsummer music season offer for Amici Ensemble

One ticket to the Amici Ensemble which includes a glass of our Methode Traditionelle on arrival, a savoury concert platter and a Schoc Choc made with Brodie Pinot Noir. All this for $47.50.

The concert features string sextets by Brahms and Strauss and a new work called "Ants" by Anthony Ritchie, commissioned by Chris Marshall for the Amici Ensemble. This follows his early work, also written for the Amici Ensemble, called "Octopus" for Octet. Strauss wrote his sextet as the overture for his opera, "Capriccio". It is one of his most sumptuous and romantic pieces for strings. The Boccherini "Fandango" originally for guitar and strings, played here by string quintet, is a frenetic dance movement that will certainly liven the spirit!
