Welcome to Brodie Estate, Martinborough. The home of wonderful pinot noir, olive oil, art and boutique accommodation in the heart of the Wairarapa. Join us at the Cellar Door to taste our wines including the latest releases and some wines that are not available anywhere else. Relax with a platter in the Pavilion or on the grass among the wildflowers and olive trees and taste the wines all grown and made on the property. We look foward to seeing you. We are closed for three months in the winter, otherwise open every weekend and then every day during the summer season except Christmas Day.
Midsummer Music at Brodie Estate
Our first concert on the 11th of January will feature the Puertas Quartet, the vibrant international string quartet featuring Julia and Andrew Joyce, Principals from the NZSO and Ellie Fagg and Tom Norris, Prinicipals from the London Symphony Orchestra. . Tickets cost $45 and include a glass of delicious Brodie Estate PInot Noir or Summer Rose. Bring a picnic if you wish. Gourmet treats will be available for purchase.
Our second concert features the Tarps with David Chadwick (guitar, harmonica vocals), Bill Gaynor (guitar, vocals), Grant Willis (double bass), and Derek Ashford (drums). The group members come from a mix of folk, rock, and jazz backgrounds. Their music includes all these elements, with a taste of blues and country as well. The Tarps love to play live and this comes through in their warm and enjoyable performances. Also featuring the Tessa Quayle Quartet, renowned jazz vocalist ably supported by her group. The date is the 15th of February. Dancing on the grass is definitely on.
