Ruby red in colour with youthful purple hues. Moderately full and dense nose of ripe dark red berry fruits along with dark plum and nuances of black cherries. Combined with a fine layering of dark herbs and earth. Unfolding nuances of raspberries, liquorice and spices. Medium full bodied palate, red floral nuances and enhanced by liquorice elements. Fine tannin structure with some crisp acidity. Has body and presence which carries to a solid finish of sweet dark red fruit and earth. Match with game meat and casseroles

Bob Campbell Review: Tasted alongside the 2013 vintage this wine is richer, riper and fleshier with black-fleshed plum, dark cherry, anise and spicy oak flavours. It has more power and intensity and is at the same time more accessible. It has a strong varietal and regional identity

Both 2013 and 2014 are excellent wines. My order of preference could easily switch on a different occasion
