Brodie Estate Pinot Noir 2014
Full, even ruby-red colour with youthful purple hues, a little lighter edged. This has a moderately full and well-packed nose of ripe dark-red berry fruits along with dark plums and nuances of black cherries, and a fine layering of dark herbs and earth, unfolding nuances of raspberries, liquorice and spices. Medium-full bodied, the palate has gently mouthfilling flavours of rich and juicy dark-red berry fruits along with savoury earth and dark herbs, lifted by red floral nuances and enhanced by liquorice elements. The fruit is supported by fine, grainy tannin structure with some crisp acidity enlivening the mouthfeel. The fruit and structure is well entwined to provide body and presence which carries to a solid finish of sweet dark-red fruit and earth. This is a rich, mouthfilling Pinot Noir with balancing structure and some fine acid vitality. Match with game meat and casseroles over the next 6+ years. Clone 777, 667, 114, 115 and 5 fruit from vines planted in 2001, fully destemmed and fermented to 14.5% alc., the wine aged 12 months in 30% new barriques..

Bob Campbell Review: Tasted alongside the 2013 vintage this wine is richer, riper and fleshier with black-fleshed plum, dark cherry, anise and spicy oak flavours. It has more power and intensity and is at the same time more accessible. It has a strong varietal and regional identity. 95 points.
Brodie Estate Pinot Noir Reserve 2014
Bob Campbell Review:
A selection of the best barrels produces the reserve wine in top vintages. This is a rich, concentrated
“fruit bomb” style with a lush, silken, Musigny-like texture underpinned by
fine tannins which provide structure and potential longevity as well as a
peppery, spicy finish. 96 Points 5 stars.

Iced Pinot Noir 2016
This is a delight for those with a taste for sticky. Clean pinot noir with a very long hang time were picked at the beginning of May. Gently pressed and chilled down three times and the ice removed to concentrate the juice. Late-harvested pinot noir grapes achieved extra 'concentration by icing'. The result is an unusual and appealing wine with slightly jammy plum and cherry flavours plus a deliciously creamy texture and reasonably lengthy finish. Port-like. 80 grams of residual sugar. Waiting to be drizzled over strawberries and ice cream. Purely made for your enjoyment.
