The Wine Series​
The Brodie Estate 2010 Pinot Noir wine that inspired the Wine Series is rich and complex yet subtle and delicate, qualities to be found in these paintings which are layered, glazed, highly coloured and subtly complex.
Re- interpretations of reality, the works rove through degrees of abstraction to convey the alchemical excitement of the transformation of grape to wine.

The Artist
Ann Brodie is a graduate of the University of Otago, Otago Polytechnic School of Art and the Dunedin College of Education. A former zoologist/biologist, dancer, actor and art teacher, Ann brings these diverse experiences to life in her art.
